The new owners may not allow us to stay. We may have to relocate to continue to protect the equines in our Lifetime Care who have been saved from the horrors of the slaughter house. Our Board of Directors has created a Go Fund Me Page to help with the expense of a relocation.

Attention to all potential visitors and volunteers:

The Sanctuary facility is located in Santa Rosa, Ca. Visitors and volunteers are encouraged to visit the facility by calling 707-206-1892 and speaking with our president, Vicki Sims, who will provide you with directions to the Sanctuary Facility. The horses and the staff would love to see you there. Please call soon.

KZST Radio, Santa Rosa, has selected our President and Founder, Vicki Sims, as their Hometown Hero
Thanks to Joe Poletto with Indie Global LLC who has generously donated the remainder of his advertising budget for this year to a deserving non-profit as David Gross from the Krush would determine.

Thanks to David Gross for selecting Sadie's Haven as that non-profit. David was also so helpful developing ad copy for the spots. Krush will be airing live traffic reports, with recorded 15 second spots as well as some 60s featuring Sadie's Haven and tagging it as brought to you by Indie Global for the remainder of the year on The Krush 95.9.

Following a lengthy and detailed examination process by the Global Federation of Animal Santuaries, Sadie's Haven has now been approved and granted verification status by GFAS. To be awarded Verified status, an organization must meet GFAS’s rigorous and peer-reviewed animal care standards.

Our President and Founder, Vicki Sims, has just received the Jefferson Award for public service from KPIX, Channel 5, San Francisco.

Blanca Dominguez has created a fantastic video with music by Celine Dion that features the horses in our Sanctuary. We have posted it on our Youtube channel. It is such a work of art that it deserves to go viral. Please take the time to watch it. Believe me, you will be glad you did.

A troop of Girl Scouts has recently visited the horses in the Sanctuary. They were very helpful assisting with the care of the horses. We all enjoyed their visit, especially the horses.

We now have our own YOUTUBE Channel where you can watch videos of the horses at play in the Sanctuary.
We have hosted a hands-on workshop, once each week, for 10 weeks, this last summer, for the Sonoma County Humane Society Summer Camp for Kids program. What Fun.
Recently, our President and Founder, was nominated by the American Red Cross as a Local Hero in recognition of her outstanding work caring for less fortunate horses. She was presented with a lovely certificate.
Helping Hands Join Hands

We are happy to announce that we have teamed with the wonderful folks at

BrightHaven Hospice and Rescue

and have relocated our rescue horses to their facility.

Our all volunteer, non-profit corporation's purpose is to provide safe and experienced care and shelter for equines that are neglected, abused and/or abandoned. We also provide educational tours and day camp programs for the community with special consideration for underprivileged children and teens.
Horse Sanctuary
The horse on the left of this photo is Sadie. She inspired us all to begin our horse rescue efforts and so we named the sanctuary in her honor. Sadie was used as a breeding factory. She was pregnant with her ninth foal by the time she was eleven years old. As a result, she sustained a severely damaged knee and could barely walk.

We thank you for your generous support.

These horses in need appreciate any donation you can make.
